Inside Spaces

They see the world
Through different eyes They see the stars Through different skies They seek, what they need, just like me Her eyes, like glass Reflect her hurt Her smile like brass Speak without words She needs, what I seek is to be heard Chorus To be brave, to be strong To be loved, to belong To fill the inside spaces He looks so small So lost in it all Small hands, small feet Yet so incomplete Yet like me, he waits, to be found To be brave, to be strong To be loved, to belong To fill the inside spaces To laugh, to cry To live and die I’m in need of some direction In a world obsessed with perfection To be brave, to be strong To be loved, to belong To fill the inside spaces |
A song inspired by difference following reflections from a trip to India in 2007. We are all so different on the outside and yet on the inside we are looking for the same thing - something to fill the inside spaces.
This track features guitar by South African guitar maestro, Steve Newman. |
